BASIC OF TEXTILES:-

Textile means cloth or fabric.

(1) Especially woven or knit,

(2) A fiber or yarn used in making cloth.

It is very essential commodity  used by human. It is made from two types of yarn.

(A) Natural yarn,

(B) Synthetics and man-made yarns.

NATURAL YARN:- cotton, silk, wool and linen are the natural yarn.

SYNTHETICS AND MAN-MADE YARN:- Nylon , rayon polyester and some inorganic such as gold, glass fiber and asbestos fibres are called as man-made or synthetic yarn.

The cloth (textile) is produced by a process called as weaving. 

Weaving is a process where two threads are interlaced with help of a machine known as looms. (Handloom and power loom)

A hand loom is operated by the human with the help of his/her legs and feet and A power loom is operated with the electric supply.
