P.O.Y PRODUCTION:-

Texturise yarn ( polyester) is a man-made yarn. It is produced from P.O.Y ( Partially Oriented yarn.) . It is a yarn produced from poleyster fiber spun with molten spinning and delivered from long filament fibers and continuous filament . The filament fiber used have low strength with a very high percentage of elongation . P.O.Y threads are semi-finished threads of melted chips (PET) Polyethylene therapthe late, and made through a spinning process. P.O.Y is completely stretch filaments with an orientation degree between un oriented filaments and drawn filaments obtained by high speed spinning compared with undrawn yarn. It has certain degree of orientation and good stability but cannot be used for textiles.

P.O.Y is produced from semi-dull PET via melting spun fiber using an extruder , temperature on elongation of POY. (P.E.T) is semi-dull white and slightly opaque poleyster type with ,0.35% of Titanium di oxide (TiO2) content, whereas POY (Partially Oriented yarn) is a type of yarn produced from poleyster fibers derived continuous filaments using molten spinning. The used filaments have low strenght with a very high percentage of elongation properties of the yarn produced during molten spinning process of raw materials. The yarn produced has 165 Denier 96 filaments semi-dull POY (i.e.165/96 SDC). In this the used raw material is semi-dull which then melted in the extruder dies was varied ( 275°,280° and 285°) and controlled by using commercial thermal fluid i.e. "DOWTHERM". The POY samples prepared from molten spinning process using extruders were then analysed for elongation at different extruder die temperature. The elongation analysis resul showed the POY  was about 127.17, 137.85  and 137.97% at die temperature of 275,° 280° and 285°. The yarn produced has 165/96 filament semi-dull POY (i.e.165/96 SDC).
