ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SHUTTLE & SHUTTLELESS LOOMS.

Advantages and disadvantages of shuttle & shuttleless looms. 
There are many advantages and disadvantages of both looms i.e. Shuttle & Shuttleless loom. They are given as below. 
Advantages of shuttle looms.
1) Shuttle loom is more economical than shuttle less loom 
2) It suitable for low scale production type industry.
3) It is easy to operate.
4) Its spare parts are easily available in the market . 
5) An ordinary human can work on this loom.
Disadvantages of Shuttle loom,:-
1) Shuttle loom causes more noise in working field.
2) Shuttle causes abrasion on warp yarn which increase the wastage percentage.
3) Warp break increase  due froction of shuttle to warp sheet during weaving process.
4) The production rate of shuttle loom is slower than shuttle less loom . 
5) Equally important that shuttle may flies  from the shed and can cause accident.
6) Additional high labour cost.
7) The value of fabrics is lost because of shuttle movement.
8) Efficiency of shuttle loom is less than the shuttleless loom.
9) It increases physical and mental pressure on labour.
Advantages of Shuttleless Looms:-
1) Weaving is high due to high speed of the machine.
2) It reduces the labour cost due to higher allocation of loom productivity.
3) It facilitate defect free cloth during weaving
4) The shuttleless loom creates less noise 
5) Pirn winding process is eliminated in this loom.
6) It keeps better fabric value.
7) It is easy to market traders .
8)  Warp flanges are bigger and can accommodate 3 time warp length and lesser wastage.
9) Accident percentage is low.
10) Easy maintenance and less work load for workers.
11) Used for high scale production.
12) Efficiency of this machine is highe as compared to shuttle looms.
Disadvantages of shuttlelesd loom.
1) The price of Shuttleless Looms are higher than shuttle loom.
2) Experienced weave required for operating this shuttleless loom .
3) It occupies more ground space 
4) Humidified or Air conditioning plant is required as the loom generates heat atmosphere during working.
