DORNIER LOOM (SHUTTLELESS):-

Introduction of German Dornier rapier loom:-

There are two types of rigid rapier loom , H and HS , produced by German company. Dornier have a wide range of applications. It can be produced different kinds and sizes of weft yarn raw materials and can greatly change the weft yarn structure and density. It can weave a variety of low strength yarns can weave some speed yarns (non-wear-resistance yarns), in addition to clothing fabrics , but also can produce a variety of industrial fabrics.

Rotation of loom:-

The main structure of the Dornier rapier loom is composed of two side wall boards and a solid breast beam with parallel tracks in the center.

The bracket of the torsional structure ensures the stability of the loom at high speed. All the components related to which are installed on the parallel track of the bracket . As long as the fixed elements is released, it can slide along the parallel track to the desired position. The rapier barrel tubes on both sides of the Dornier rapier loom keep the rapier running steadily . The loom is driven by a main motor running continuously on the left side . There are two main gear box is in the wall panels on both sides , which are responsible for the reciprocating motion of rapier and beating-up motion of reed during weft insertion. The motor and gear box are connected by clutch and brake assembly. A small slow motor on side of the main motor is used to inch the loom.

Main Mechnism of the Dornier Rigid Rapier loom:-

OPENING MECHANISM:-

The opener mechanism of the machine can be divided into cam opening mechanisms, dobby opening mechanism and jacquard opening mechnism. At present electronic dobby and jacquard are commonly used , and jacquard & dobby are combined some loom.

Cam shedding Mechanism:-

The active cam shedding device is adopted in the Dornier rapier loom , with the handle frame spacing of 12 mm or 18 mm . Because the number of the handle frame matched by cam shedding mechanism is less upto 12 pages, the variety adaptability is slightly poor. The contact surface is narrow , the stress is high , and the service life of the rotor core is not long. In addition, it can not meet the requirements of the frequent variety modification, so the loom matched with this kind of shedding mechanism is rare at present.

Dobby opening Mechanism;-

The machine is mainly equipped with an electronic controlled rotary dobby with a heddle frame spacing 12 mm . The number of heald frame pages has three specification 12 pages , 20 pages and 28 pages . There is a parallel down Heald mechnism . The adjustment and positioning of the heald frame is simple and convenient as long as it is carried out above the dobby.

Jacquard Shedding:-

Mechanical or electronic Jacquard opening mechanism can reach upto 20,000 stitches , commonly used 2688 stitches.

Picking Mechanism (motion):-

The conjugate cam weft mechanism is adopted in the Dornier rapier loom.

Beating-up Mechanism (motion):

The separate reed and conjugate cam are used for beating-up the weft on the Dornier rapier loom. The beating up conjugate cam has one set in each of the two main gear box.
