WEFT BACKED WEAVES OR WEFT BACKED CLOTH

 Weft backed weaves:-

The picks per inch is greater than ends per inch in weft backed fabrics. Two series of weft yarn and one series of warp yarn are used in weft backed fabrics. Weft face weave is selected for face side cloth and warp face weave is selected for back side of the cloth. Some examples of weft backed weave are given below:-
